Where do I begin? I could get all "Biography Channel" on you and state the obvious. My name is Amy Dumas, but almost everyone in the entire world (other than the ones I truly know and love) will call me Lita first. This feel so weird, sitting at my laptop, writing about myself for you guys to read. You guys already know me; what can I say that you guys don't know already? We know that I started learning how to wrestle down in Mexico and that I went to ECW where I worked with Danny Doring and was dubbed "Miss Congeniality" Oh yeah and "Angelica" too. I had worked for the WWE for 7 years before retiring a few years back.
Unless you've been under a rock for the past few years, we all know that that was a rollercoaster of a time for me. I'm not going to get into what happened. I say if it's in the past, lets leave it there. Things happened, we're all adults, we live and learn and we get over it. Last year was the first time I'd ever really played a heel. I was a little nervous at first, I wasn't sure if I could make the transition as smoothly as most seem to do here. But low and behold, there I was, spending my last year with the company as a heel. I think I did pretty good for the most part. I'm sure alot of people out there were tired of seeing me in those barely there shirts, swapping spit with Cope on tv every week Although i've met a few fans who loved it and willingly wanted to join in on the "festivities". As much as I loved hanging out with Adam, I did miss wrestling, really wrestling, every week. I missed walking up to the gorilla position and getting those anxious butterflies in the pit of my stomach. And hearing my music hit and the crowd coming alive, I LIVED for those moments. Maybe one day, I will get back to wrestling; maybe even on a regular basis.
A year or two ago i would've said "don't hold your breath on that one", that I'm loving the time off :).But over the last few months..well, maybe the better part of a year, I've been missing wrestling. Especially when I've been attending all these autograph signings and hearing from the fans how much they'd love to see a LITA comeback; it's hard to ignore that, and to ignore the itch I've been trying to scratch. My appearance on RAW when Pee Wee hosted was alot of fun. I ran into alot of old friends, and that made me miss it too. There's alot of people I loved and miss by not being around, I'm hoping that by having this journal, I can reconnect with alot of them, slowly but surely.
I had been keeping myself really busy with my band, The Luchagors. It was so much fun to see how far we'd gone in such a little time. We'd done SO many shows, even gone to the UK and done a little tour there. I had never imagined that we'd be doing that. I mean, every musician dreams of making it big and getting to tour. Granted we never made it HUGE but we still got to tour and share our music with so many different kinds of people, it was sucha great experience. I host "PunkRockalypse" every sunday night on Project 961 from time to time but these days I've been going to conventions and lying low, just me and my buddies, doing what we want, when we want.
See, I got all worked up talking about work that I forgot what I wanted to really post. But yeah, I'm Amy, you guys all know me. Ya'll know i don't bite...unless asked nicely.
